Scores killed in El Salvador storm aftermath - 09 Nov 09 Print

El Salvador's government has declared a state of emergency after parts of the country were devastated by torrential rain and landslides. Emergency crews are digging though the debris to find survivors. Representatives from the Red Cross and United Nations are meeting on Monday to co-ordinate relief efforts. Scores of people have died and thousands are homeless.
